Curriculum Intent Statement

At Juniper Woodland Primary School, our curriculum is designed to help children thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. We aim for all pupils to leave our school with literacy and numeracy skills at or above the expected standard. Our students are encouraged to be creative, develop problem-solving abilities, think critically, and collaborate effectively. They are independent, self-motivated learners who embody the school’s core values of trust, honesty, respect, enjoyment, and responsibility, alongside demonstrating good manners and a positive attitude towards competitive sports.

Our key ethos is that each child progresses in their learning when they are ready, taking the next step at their own pace.

This is made possible through a broad and balanced curriculum, which not only includes the taught subjects but also encompasses extracurricular activities, workshops, and community involvement. Importantly, our school culture plays a vital role in ensuring that children develop holistically.
